In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire software release lifecycle, from development to deployment. You will work closely with development, testing, and operations teams to ensure smooth and timely releases while maintaining the highest quality standards. Responsibilities: Release Planning and Execution: Plan, schedule, and execute software releases across all environments (development, testing, production). Coordinate release activities with development, testing, and operations teams. Manage release schedules, milestones, and dependencies. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of software releases. Build and Deployment Processes: Design, implement, and maintain automated build and deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI). Create and maintain release scripts and automation. Manage and maintain release environments. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA teams to ensure thorough testing of releases. Monitor release progress and identify potential issues. Conduct release readiness reviews and go/no-go decisions. Incident Management: Respond to and resolve release-related incidents. Conduct post-release reviews and identify areas for improvement. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive release documentation, including release notes, deployment procedures, and post-mortem reports. Collaboration and Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including developers, testers, project managers, and operations teams. Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams. Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience as a Release Engineer or in a similar role. Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI). Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Power). Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work on-site in Dallas, TX.
