This role focuses on maintaining and enhancing the IBM zCloud environment, serving high-profile clients including the Federal Retirement Investment Board (FRTIB), Bureau of the Fiscal Service (Fiscal), JP Morgan Chase, and Railroad Retirement Board (RRB). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MVS systems programming, system security compliance, performance management, and mainframe security administration. Key Responsibilities Mainframe System Support: Support IBM z15 and z16 mainframe systems running z/OS 2.5 or higher. Manage and optimize the IBM zCloud resource pool, supporting federal and private sector clients. Systems Programming: Perform MVS systems programming tasks, including installation, configuration, and maintenance. Ensure system security compliance with Federal Government Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG). Manage RACF/ACF2/Top Secret security administration and system automation. Performance & Security Management: Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions for problem resolution. Conduct regular audits and security assessments to maintain compliance. Define, validate, and manage data encryption methods and security requirements. Change & Incident Management: Utilize ServiceNow (SNOW) to manage tasks, create change requests, and perform peer reviews. Oversee user provisioning, de-provisioning, and access re-certification processes. Reporting & Documentation: Generate and review MVS security and system performance reports. Maintain thorough documentation of system configurations, changes, and compliance reports. Required Qualifications Experience: 10+ years of experience in installing, customizing, and maintaining z/OS operating systems. 5+ years of experience supporting a stabilized IBM mainframe environment. Technical Skills: Proficient in SMP/E and mainframe software maintenance. Strong skills in system performance tuning, problem determination, and resolution. Experience with system planning, installation, decommissioning, patching, and customization. Familiarity with MVS system-level parameters and user ID management processes. Knowledge of security tools (RACF, ACF2, Top Secret) and system automation. Security & Compliance: Experience with regulatory audits, security reporting, and compliance monitoring. Proficient in executing user provisioning and de-provisioning procedures. Preferred Qualifications Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
