Candidate with previous banking/finance exp Role Overview The primary focus of this role is to design, implement, and maintain an advanced test automation framework to ensure the stability and reliability of our dynamic web application. As a React Developer with deep expertise in test automation, you will work closely with the development team to establish best practices, identify testing needs, and deliver high-quality test suites. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in building a stable product that meets the needs of our users. Responsibilities 1. Test Automation Framework Development: Set up, configure, and maintain test automation frameworks using Playwright and/or Cypress Ensure the framework supports a wide range of test cases, including end-to-end, integration, and regression testing. Integrate the testing framework into CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment. 2. Test Case Design and Execution: Develop detailed, reusable, and scalable test cases to validate dynamic UI components and workflows. Simulate real-world user interactions to test the functionality and reliability of user-configurable UIs. Conduct cross-browser testing to ensure compatibility across various devices and platforms. 3 . Debugging and Issue Resolution: Analyze failed test cases, identify root causes, and collaborate with developers to fix issues. Continuously refine test scripts to adapt to application changes and ensure test stability. 4. Collaboration and Documentation: Work closely with the development team to understand application architecture and testing requirements. Document test strategies, execution results, and recommendations for improving application quality. Advocate for and implement best practices in test automation and quality assurance. 5. Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest testing tools, technologies, and methodologies. Proactively identify areas for improvement in the testing process and implement solutions. Required Skills & Qualifications Test Automation Expertise: Proven hands-on experience in setting up and maintaining test automation frameworks with Playwright and/or Cypress. Deep understanding of automated testing for React-based applications, including dynamic and user-configurable UIs. Strong proficiency in writing reusable and modular test scripts to ensure comprehensive test coverage. Frontend Development Knowledge: Proficiency in React and TypeScript. Familiarity with modern frontend architecture and state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Zustand). Debugging and Troubleshooting: Strong analytical skills to identify root causes of issues through test logs and browser debugging tools. Ability to resolve test flakiness and maintain test stability over time. Collaboration Skills: Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Strong verbal and written communication skills to document testing strategies and share findings effectively. Experience in performance and load testing tools such as JMeter or K6. Familiarity with backend testing and API validation, particularly with Python-based APIs. Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins.
