The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the safe execution of work by C&Q personnel in the field, ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. The role also includes risk assessment preparation and implementation of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and ensure the safe execution of C&Q activities on-site Develop and maintain risk assessments, job safety analyses (JSA), and safety procedures Implement and oversee Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, ensuring all required LOTO equipment (locks, signage, barriers, etc.) is available and correctly used Conduct safety inspections to verify compliance with safety regulations and company policies Collaborate with C&Q teams to integrate safety measures into daily operations Provide safety training and guidance to C&Q personnel as needed Report safety incidents and support root cause analysis and corrective actions Ensure compliance with local and international HSE standards and regulations Work closely with the Construction Manager to coordinate LOTO activities Required Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's or Masters degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field Minimum of 5+ years of experience in an HSE role within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or industrial sectors Strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, job safety analysis (JSA), and incident investigation Experience with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and safety equipment Familiarity with international HSE standards and regulatory requirements (OSHA, ISO 45001, etc.) Strong communication and leadership skills to promote a safety-first culture Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineering and C&Q personnel Preferred Qualifications: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), NEBOSH, or equivalent HSE certification.
