This role requires extensive technical knowledge and hands-on experience in the design, development, and implementation of GE Proficy Manufacturing Execution System (MES) applications. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the end-to-end deployment of MES solutions, including OPC interfaces, SQL databases, and scripting, particularly within manufacturing environments such as the automotive industry. Key Responsibilities: Development & Enhancement: Design, develop, and enhance GE Proficy MES applications, including Proficy Plant Applications, Historian, IGS, and Kepware. Develop and maintain SQL databases, create scripts, and manage data integration for MES systems. System Implementation: Lead MES deployment activities across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): planning, designing, architecting, configuring, developing, testing, implementing, and deploying. Oversee multi-site rollouts, ensuring seamless integration with existing applications and systems. Issue Resolution & Support: Provide technical support for development-related issues and troubleshooting MES system errors. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to address system issues and enhance performance. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Effectively communicate with internal teams, customers, and third-party vendors to ensure project alignment and success. Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical insights for continuous improvement. Manufacturing Process Expertise: Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes, especially in battery and automotive industries, to optimize MES applications. Understand and implement industry standards like MESA and ISA95 to support manufacturing operations. Competencies: Functional: Expertise in MES Functional Consulting and understanding of manufacturing processes. Knowledge of business and automotive-specific KPIs. Technical: Strong proficiency with GE MES Suite (Proficy Plant Application, Historian, IGS, Kepware). Experience with SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and .NET scripting. Understanding of PLC, SCADA systems, and integration with MES solutions. General: Experience managing MES implementations and global rollouts. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional, multicultural teams. Experience: Years of Experience: 810 years in MES development, consulting, or related roles. Domain Expertise: Strong background in battery manufacturing, automotive industry processes, and MES system deployments. Essential Skills: GE MES Suite: Proficy Plant Application, Historian, IGS, Kepware. Database Management: SQL Server, SSRS. Scripting: .NET, SQL scripting for data handling. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Desirable Skills: Experience with other MES systems like Apriso. Understanding of PLC and SCADA systems.
