Job Description:

Our client is undergoing a JD Edwards (JDE) E1 9.2 re-implementation, with a focus on the Distribution and Manufacturing modules. This role will involve working closely with a small team to implement key modules including MFG, Extrusion, and Injection Molding. The client is transitioning from on-premise to OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) and planning to remove customizations by 2025.

The JDE E1 system includes a variety of business processes, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Purchase Order (PO), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Order Processing, Advanced Pricing, Transportation (rate/routing), and Advanced Warehousing. Additionally, they are installing DSI Cloud Inventory and are enhancing interfaces with manufacturing software on the shop floor.

Primary Responsibilities:

Business Process Documentation: Document and analyze current business processes to define existing business activities for the development of procedures and models.

Collaboration: Lead discussions with decision-makers, systems owners, and end-users to define business, financial, and operational requirements and system goals.

ERP Process Optimization: Review, research, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing JD Edwards ERP processes, identifying strategies for further enhancement and utilization.

Process Prototyping & Recommendation: Prototype and recommend process improvements to enhance business operations, information flow, and overall process efficiency.

Scope Definition & Impact Analysis: Identify process analysis scope and parameters to define outcomes, criteria, and actions for measuring success.

Process Standardization & Maintenance: Develop and maintain new or improved business processes based on findings and analysis.

Communication: Effectively communicate process changes, enhancements, and modifications to management, peers, and staff to ensure clarity and understanding.

Liaison Role: Act as a liaison between various business groups to facilitate the implementation of new or improved business processes.

Testing & Post-Implementation Support: Coordinate and perform detailed testing, including end-user reviews, for modified and new processes. Provide post-implementation support.

Training Development & Execution: Develop and maintain training materials for end-users and conduct individual or classroom training sessions.

Knowledge & Experience:

JD Edwards ERP Proficiency: Proven experience with JD Edwards E1, specifically in Manufacturing, Financials, Supply Chain, Advanced WMS, Advanced Pricing, Inventory, and EDI modules.

Business & Technical Analysis: Strong background in business and technical requirements analysis, process modeling/mapping, and methodology development.

ERP Application Expertise: Extensive experience in the operation and analysis of ERP applications, including the ability to identify system inefficiencies and propose enhancements.

Data Import & Reporting: Practical knowledge of importing data for reporting software, spreadsheets, and flowchart generation.

Documentation Skills: Ability to create both systematic and manual operations procedures in technical and user-friendly language.

Project Management Experience: Demonstrated experience leading projects and staff with project management skills, including the use of project management software.

Formal Education & Certification:

College diploma or university degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Finance, or Management Information Systems.

8+ years of related work experience in JD Edwards E1, ERP systems, and business analysis.

Additional Information:

This is a Contract to Hire position, with a potential to transition to a permanent role after the initial contract period.

The successful candidate must have strong communication skills, in-depth knowledge of JD Edwards E1, and the ability to work effectively in a small, collaborative team.
