Please let me know if you are interested in the position Title: Project Manager Location:Hybrid(Austin, Tx) Duration: 6 months contract Visa Restrictions: Only USC or GC Job Description: The Project Manager will be responsible for leading and delivering a .NET-based software project, ensuring that business objectives, quality standards, and deadlines are met. The role involves managing project scope, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and driving technical excellence throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, technical expertise in .NET technologies, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders. The client has acquired a .NET software application from another state agency and requires the Project Manager to lead its implementation and customization. The Project Manager will evaluate the software, oversee its implementation, gather requirements from Community Affairs staff, and tailor the software to meet the clients needs. The software customization will focus on workflow management/automation, creating a central repository for data and documents, generating reports, developing an internal user portal, and building an external user portal for uploading federal program documentation. Key Responsibilities Project Planning and Delivery Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Ensure the .NET project is executed on time, within scope, and on budget. Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues. This role is ideal for a results-driven Project Manager with strong technical proficiency in .NET technologies, capable of leading teams, managing project lifecycles, and delivering high-quality software solutions on time and within budget. Technical Oversight Collaborate with the development team to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Oversee the implementation of .NET applications, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices. Monitor code quality, testing, and deployment processes to ensure technical integrity. Stay updated with emerging .NET technologies and industry trends. Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. Provide regular project status updates, highlighting progress, risks, and dependencies. Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project goals. Team Leadership and Coordination Lead and motivate the development team, including developers and analysts. Assign tasks, monitor team performance, and promote collaboration and productivity. Facilitate agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Resource and Budget Management Manage project budgets, track expenses, and control costs effectively. Ensure optimal resource utilization and resolve resource constraints. Required Skills and Qualifications Technical Expertise Proficiency in .NET technologies, including C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Core. Familiarity with SQL Server, Azure, and other Microsoft technologies. Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies. Project Management Skills Proven experience managing .NET development projects from initiation to completion. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Azure DevOps). Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Soft Skills Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Adaptability and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience and Education Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: 5+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on .NET projects. Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex software solutions. Certifications (Required): Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM). Certifications (Preferred): Microsoft certifications related to .NET or Azure (optional but advantageous). Qualifications Minimum Requirements: 8 years of project management experience to include at least 5 years experience as lead project manager for multi-million-dollar projects. 8 years knowledge of project management theories and practices applicable to projects that are highly complex in scope; systems and procedures used to evaluate a third-party vendors performance. 8 years of implementation of .NET applications, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices. 8 years of project management experience with customized software development specializing in workflow management, file management, and reporting. 3 years of project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM). Preferred: 3 years of Microsoft certifications related to .NET or Azure.
