Please find the job details below: Job Title: VMware Admin Location: Sunnyvale, CA Duration: Long Term Contract Role name: System Administrator | Role Description: Title: VMware Technical Systems EngineerThis position is a Technical Systems Engineer who can design, install, configure, and troubleshoot very large and complex VMware environments. You will work in a team of very talented engineers that support an extremely large VMware environment in Cisco IT.You will need to have strong skills in following areas: Expert level understanding of VMware environments at enterprise scale Expert level knowledge in VMware networking and storage technologies VMware vROPS experience for monitoring and capacity management Expert level knowledge of compute server hardware and operating systems Ability to lead, communicate and drive change across organizations Ability to work cross-functionally with peer technology teams Development experience to automate the VMware environment lifecycle Improve our operational practices to minimize service disruptions Ability to listen to clients and propose and deliver solutions to their needs Knowledge and experience working in an Agile operating model. Experience with Incident and Problem Management Preferred experience working with Cisco Unified Compute System blades, fabric interconnects, and rack servers Experience with converged infrastructure stacks like Cisco HX Experience in fault analysis, troubleshooting, and working with VMware and Cisco TACExperience with the following technologies and concepts VMware vSphere 7.x and 8.x experience VMware vROPS experience for alerts Ability to troubleshoot VMware ESXi and vSphere at a low level Experience with VMware virtual switching and distributed virtual switches Able to identify issues proactively and develop automation to fix and verify those changes Understanding of security including OS hardening, firewalls, iptables, and collaborating with Infosec Understanding of network basics like routers and switches VMware and Linux Certifications Experience with VMware automation using Power, Ansible, or Python Experience using Git, BitBucket and Jenkins Experience with Software Defined Lifecycle frameworks Cisco UCS experience Cisco ACI and Cisco distributed virtual switch experience is a plus | Competencies: Digital : VMWare | Experience (Years): 4-6 | Thanks & Regards, Sujeet Negi Email: sujeet.negi@scalable-systems.com "Scalable Systems is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
