https://short-link.me/15H5b https://jobs.nvoids.com/job_details.jsp?id=2318408&uid= From: Gaurav Nain, sibitalent.com g.nain@sibitalent.com Reply to: g.nain@sibitalent.com Job Title: Senior Designer/Checker & PlateLocation: Pittsburgh, PA or Tulsa, OK (Onsite required; possible hybrid after ramp-up)Contract Duration: 6 months (Potential for full-time conversion) Work Authorization: U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders onlyPosition Overview: 10+ years of design/checking experience in tanks, vessels, or fabrication Proficiency in AutoCAD (Inventor a plus) Experience checking complex fabrication drawings for accuracy, constructability, and compliance Solid knowledge of drafting disciplines: vessel, structural, and mechanical design Strong understanding of fabrication, procurement, and field construction processes Familiarity with relevant codes/standards: API, AISC, ASME Excellent communication and problem-solving skillsResponsibilities: Serve as a technical resource and checker, ensuring drawing accuracy and adherence to standards Collaborate with Squad Leaders and Principal Designers to coordinate project execution Produce and review complex 2D layouts and detailed fabrication drawings Lead or assist in redlining and quality checking across various disciplines Conduct detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) and dimensional checks Coordinate with other team members and disciplines to resolve design issues Support project planning, scope, and schedule tracking Mentor and assist junior drafters and designers Participate in field visits as needed for drawing validation or data collectionQualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline (preferred) Minimum of 4+ years of direct tank/vessel/fabrication design (10+ years preferred) Strong command of AutoCAD; Inventor knowledge is a plus Working knowledge of trigonometry, dimensioning, and material takeoffs Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAdditional Notes: Candidates must be comfortable working onsite initially, with a potential hybrid option after ramp-up Strong communication and leadership qualities are essential No Automotive Designers candidates must have tank, vessel, or industrial design background Keywords: Pennsylvania Senior Designer, Pittsburgh, PA or Tulsa, OK g.nain@sibitalent.com https://short-link.me/15H5b https://jobs.nvoids.com/job_details.jsp?id=2318408&uid= |
