The ideal candidate will have a strong background in big data engineering, with expertise in GCP, Scala, and Spark. *Key Responsibilities:* 1. Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable big data systems on GCP using Scala and Spark. 2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop big data solutions. 3. Develop and maintain large-scale data processing systems, including data ingestion, processing, and storage. 4. Stay up-to-date with the latest GCP, Scala, and Spark features, and apply this knowledge to improve our big data systems. 5. Lead a team of big data engineers and provide technical guidance and mentorship. 6. Develop and maintain technical documentation for big data systems. 7. Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to develop and deploy machine learning models. 8. Ensure that big data systems meet our security, compliance, and scalability requirements. *Requirements:* 1. 8+ years of experience in big data engineering, with expertise in GCP, Scala, and Spark. 2. Strong understanding of GCP services, including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Dataflow. 3. Experience with Scala and Spark, including Spark Core, Spark SQL, and Spark Streaming. 4. Strong programming skills in Scala, with expertise in functional programming. 5. Experience with agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban. 6. Strong communication and leadership skills. *Nice to Have:* 1. Certification in GCP, such as the Google Cloud Certified - Professional Data Engineer. 2. Experience with other big data technologies, including Hadoop, Hive, and Pig. 3. Experience with machine learning frameworks, including TensorFlow and scikit-learn. 4. Experience with cloud-based data warehousing, including BigQuery and Snowflake. 5.
