Duration: Contract to hire About the Role: We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with experience in Java, Spring Boot, Python, Node.js, React, or Angular to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and developing financial services applications and leading small to mid-sized teams. As part of this role, you will work on AWS-based development, utilize ECS, Containers, GitHub, Kong/APIGEE, and implement robust authentication and authorization enforcement for Java services. You will also be expected to collaborate effectively, drive innovation, and translate complex technical solutions into business-friendly language. Key Responsibilities: Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, Python, Node.js, React, or Angular. Agile & TDD: Apply Agile development methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD) to ensure high-quality code. AWS & Cloud Technologies: Develop and deploy applications using AWS services, including ECS, containers, and API gateways like Kong/APIGEE. Financial Services Applications: Work on complex financial technology solutions, ensuring compliance and security best practices. Leadership & Team Management: Lead and mentor small to mid-sized teams in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Security & Authorization: Implement authentication and authorization enforcement in Java-based microservices. Business Acumen: Understand business concepts, tools, and processes to make data-driven decisions. Executive Communication: Effectively communicate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders. Problem-Solving & Collaboration: Work cross-functionally to solve complex problems and drive innovation. Required Qualifications & Skills: Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Experience: 3-7 years of hands-on software development experience. Tech Stack: Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Python, Node.js, React, or Angular. Cloud Expertise: Experience in AWS development stack, including ECS, containers, and API management tools. Leadership: 3-5 years of experience in leading small to mid-sized engineering teams. Financial Services Knowledge: Strong background in developing financial services applications. Security Understanding: Familiarity with authentication, authorization, and secure API development. Agile & TDD: Experience with Agile methodologies and Test-Driven Development. Strong Communication Skills: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business terms. Problem-Solving & Teamwork: Proven track record of working collaboratively to solve challenging problems.
