Job Title: Mid-Level Data Engineer Location: New Jersey (Hybrid Model: 2-3 Days On-Site/Week) Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and optimize Azure-based data pipelines (ADF, Databricks) for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and storage. Develop and maintain scalable ETL workflows to support analytics and reporting needs. Implement and manage Azure Storage solutions, including Azure Blob Storage and Azure Data Lake, for structured and unstructured data. Configure and secure Azure Key Vault for credential management, encryption keys, and secrets. Collaborate with BI teams, data scientists, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions. Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) using Azure-native tools. Integrate Azure ecosystem services (e.g., Azure Functions, Logic Apps) to automate workflows and enhance data operations. Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline performance issues; conduct root-cause analysis. Stay updated on emerging Azure technologies and propose innovative improvements. Document architectures, processes, and best practices for knowledge sharing. Technical Requirements: Mandatory: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Azure cloud environments, including: Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Databricks for pipeline orchestration. Azure Storage solutions (Blob Storage, Data Lake Gen2). Azure Key Vault for secure secrets management. Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and data transformation. Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and SQL. Experience with Azure database services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Synapse Analytics). Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, Git, Terraform, ARM templates). Knowledge of data security best practices within Azure (RBAC, encryption, network security groups). Exposure to regulatory frameworks (e.g., ESG compliance) is a plus. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in hybrid teams.
