The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in re-architecting a 30-year-old legacy system, helping to build a cloud-native solution from the ground up using Java , Spring Boot , and AWS . This position requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of scalable software architecture, and proven experience in the Payments domain . Required Qualifications: Experience leading customer-driven solution design and development. Strong hands-on expertise with Java, Spring Boot, and AWS (GCP or Azure is a plus). Excellent analytical and communication skills; able to translate complex technical information to business stakeholders. Proven ability to define scalable, fault-tolerant, and high-performing architectures. Experience working across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Deep understanding of application integration, infrastructure, and cloud-native technologies. Ability to estimate project efforts and lead teams through successful execution. Strong technical leadership with an ability to mentor junior engineers. Preferred Qualifications: 7+ years of experience developing scalable enterprise applications. 5+ years of hands-on experience in the Payments domain, including wallet systems and third-party payment processor integrations. Experience in performance tuning and application telemetry. Deep familiarity with software engineering best practices: version control, CI/CD, code reviews. Prior experience building and enforcing enterprise architecture and coding standards. Strong experience with Git/GitLab, source control, and CI/CD pipelines. Track record of delivering cloud-native applications in AWS.
