The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of OpenStack operations, troubleshooting, and production support at L3 level, alongside expertise in Linux, Ansible, networking, and version control systems such as GitLab/GitHub. This role requires a proactive, self-sufficient individual capable of handling complex issues and ensuring the stability and performance of OpenStack environments. Key Responsibilities: OpenStack Operations: Manage and support OpenStack environments, focusing on troubleshooting and resolving issues across production systems. Ensure operational stability and performance. Troubleshooting & Production Support: Perform root cause analysis and resolve production issues related to OpenStack, Linux, networking, and related technologies. Provide Level 3 support for complex issues. Linux System Management: Leverage deep knowledge of Linux systems to manage and troubleshoot production environments efficiently. Automation & Configuration Management: Work with Ansible (L2) for automation of tasks, configuration management, and deployments across systems. Networking & System Integration: Assist with networking tasks (L2) and ensure integration of networking components in the OpenStack environment. Version Control: Utilize GitLab/GitHub (L2) to manage code repositories, collaborate with team members, and ensure version control best practices. Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Work closely with internal teams to implement and refine processes, while sharing knowledge and best practices across the team. Competencies: OpenStack Engineering: Strong understanding of OpenStack operations and troubleshooting, able to resolve complex technical issues independently. Linux: In-depth experience with Linux systems, focusing on administration, troubleshooting, and optimization. Ansible: Working knowledge of Ansible to manage configuration and automate system tasks. Networking: Good understanding of networking principles (L2) and how they integrate within OpenStack. Version Control (GitLab/GitHub): Familiarity with GitLab/GitHub for version control, collaborating on code and managing repositories. Essential Skills: OpenStack Operations (L3): Advanced understanding of OpenStack operations, capable of troubleshooting and providing support in a production environment with minimal supervision. Linux Administration (L3): Expert-level experience with Linux, including system administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. Ansible (L2): Strong understanding of Ansible for automation, with the ability to create and maintain playbooks. Networking (L2): Good knowledge of networking concepts relevant to OpenStack environments. Version Control (GitLab/GitHub) (L2): Experience using GitLab/GitHub for code version control and collaborative development. Desirable Skills: OpenStack Knowledge: A deeper understanding of OpenStack architecture, deployment, and configuration. Linux Performance Tuning: Experience in tuning Linux systems for high performance and stability. Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with other cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. CI/CD: Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment methodologies, with experience in integrating them with OpenStack environments. Experience (Years): 6-8 years of relevant experience in OpenStack operations, production support, and troubleshooting. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. OpenStack certification or similar cloud-related certifications is a plus.
