This role is crucial for ensuring the company accurately and timely reports financial information to regulatory bodies while identifying and mitigating potential risks related to compliance and reporting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in gathering, analyzing, and improving regulatory reporting systems, with a deep understanding of financial products, regulatory frameworks, and data analysis. Key Responsibilities: Data Gathering & Analysis: Collect and analyze data from various organizational sources, such as trading systems, risk management platforms, and accounting systems, to generate accurate and timely regulatory reports. Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on evolving regulatory requirements, including Basel III, Dodd-Frank, and other local regulations, ensuring the companys reporting practices meet compliance standards. Requirement Gathering: Identify and document business requirements for regulatory reporting systems, including data quality standards, reporting formats, and deadlines, ensuring all regulatory obligations are met. Process Improvement: Evaluate existing reporting processes for inefficiencies and propose enhancements, such as automating manual tasks or optimizing data flows, to improve efficiency and accuracy. Risk Assessment: Conduct evaluations to identify risks related to regulatory reporting, ensuring data accuracy, meeting deadlines, and compliance with regulatory standards. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, risk management, compliance, IT, and business units, to ensure smooth and accurate regulatory reporting processes. Report Generation & Validation: Produce regulatory reports, perform data quality checks, and reconcile discrepancies, ensuring the reports' accuracy and completeness. System Implementation & Testing: Work closely with IT teams to implement new reporting systems or upgrade existing systems, including conducting testing and facilitating user acceptance to ensure functionality and compliance. Competencies: Business Analysis: Ability to gather and analyze business requirements, document processes, and bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. Risk Regulatory Compliance: Strong understanding of financial regulations, including Basel III, Dodd-Frank, and local reporting requirements. Digital Analytics: Proficiency in using digital tools for data analysis and reporting within risk and regulatory frameworks. Essential Skills: Experience as a Business Systems Analyst (10+ years): Proven track record in risk and regulatory reporting, with expertise in ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial information to regulatory bodies. Financial Knowledge: Solid understanding of financial products, accounting principles, and risk metrics. Regulatory Expertise: In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks and reporting requirements. Data Analysis: Proficiency in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and data visualization tools. Business Analysis & Documentation: Ability to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical specifications, and document processes accurately. Process Improvement: Experience in identifying inefficiencies in reporting processes and implementing improvements. Project Management Skills: Ability to manage complex reporting projects from initiation to successful implementation. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels and ensure alignment on reporting requirements and process changes. Desirable Skills: Proven Record: Demonstrated success in a Business Systems Analyst role with a focus on risk and regulatory reporting. Experience with Reporting Systems: Knowledge of regulatory reporting systems and data flow design. Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with data management tools, BI platforms, and reporting automation technologies. Experience (Years): 10+ years of experience in Business Systems Analysis with a focus on Risk & Regulatory Reporting. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced certifications in business analysis, project management, or financial regulation (e.g., CBAP, PMP) are a plus.
