The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of developing data warehouse solutions, leading data technology delivery across multiple platforms, and supporting the end-to-end development life cycle. You will collaborate with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, to define and implement data strategies that drive business value. Key Responsibilities: Data Warehouse Development: Lead the development of data warehouse solutions, ensuring end-to-end SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) support, from planning through deployment and maintenance. Develop and manage data models, including logical, physical, and semantic models, ensuring alignment with business needs and data architecture. Technology Infrastructure Management: Oversee technology infrastructure management across multiple platforms such as Netezza, Infosphere, Denodo, Collibra, and Snowflake. Design and implement application architecture that spans across multiple database platforms and data mesh architecture, ensuring seamless integration and optimization. ETL & Data Movement: Lead the design, development, and optimization of data movement processes using tools such as DataStage, Informatica, and other ETL technologies. Ensure smooth data consumption and movement processes to enable accurate reporting and decision-making. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with key stakeholders to define new data needs and prioritize investments in new data technologies that align with business objectives. Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leadership to influence and drive data strategy across the organization. Data-Driven Decision Making: Champion the use of data-based decision-making across key business units, helping teams leverage data to improve business performance and operational efficiency. Lead efforts to define business requirements for data and analytics, ensuring the creation of actionable insights. Leadership & Communication: Provide outstanding leadership across the data technology teams, guiding them in delivering high-quality solutions on time and within budget. Maintain excellent communication with all stakeholders, ensuring clarity and transparency in project progress, challenges, and solutions. Key Competencies: IBM InfoSphere DataStage: Expertise in IBM InfoSphere DataStage for data integration and transformation. Netezza: Deep knowledge of Netezza data platforms and their integration into enterprise data solutions. ETL Development: Strong experience with ETL tools like DataStage and Informatica, ensuring efficient data movement and transformation. Data Modeling: Strong problem-solving and data modeling skills, with the ability to design logical, physical, and semantic data models. Leadership: Proven track record of leadership in managing cross-functional data teams and aligning data initiatives with business goals. Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW): Substantive experience with EDW development, implementing robust data warehousing solutions. Essential Skills: Financial Services & Retail Banking: In-depth experience in the financial services and retail banking sectors, understanding the unique data needs and regulatory requirements of these industries. Data Technology Delivery: Extensive experience leading data technology and delivery across multiple platforms, including but not limited to Netezza, Infosphere, Denodo, Collibra, and Snowflake. Data Infrastructure & Architecture: Deep knowledge of database platforms, data mesh architecture, and complex application designs that span multiple platforms. ETL & Data Consumption: Expertise in ETL processes and data movement solutions, especially with DataStage and Informatica. Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to engage and collaborate with key stakeholders to define data needs and align strategies to business objectives. Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of influencing senior leaders and ensuring the successful execution of data-driven projects. Desirable Skills: Experience with Data Mesh Architecture: Hands-on experience in implementing data mesh architecture, improving data accessibility and scalability across decentralized environments. Advanced Data Technologies: Knowledge of emerging data technologies and trends, with the ability to make strategic decisions on investing in new tools and platforms. Experience (Years): 10+ years of experience in data solutions architecture, data warehouse development, and ETL processes. 5+ years in financial services or retail banking product development, focusing on data solutions and infrastructure. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Masters degree or relevant certifications in data management, data science, or architecture are a plus.
