Senior DevOps Engineer Location: Remote Duration: 12 Months Job Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to support applications deployed to AWS as part of the NYC Application Modernization Initiative. You ll work closely with infrastructure, cloud services, development, and operations teams to maintain, provision, and scale applications in AWS using Azure DevOps Pipelines while ensuring the highest standards of code quality, security, and site reliability. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with DevOps teams to provide CI/CD support for application maintenance Work with Infrastructure/Cloud Services to configure software stacks in AWS Ensure the delivery of deployable code from development teams Implement SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) tools for improved cloud observability and scalability Thoroughly document processes in technical design documents Work with Operations and Project Managers to define timelines and tasks Required Skills/Experience: 12+ years in automation, with a focus on designing and managing automated deployment pipelines Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Terraform, Artifactory, and AWS services like ECS Fargate, RDS, CloudFormation Experience with containerization and configuration management Strong programming skills (Java, Perl, Bash, Python, Power) Excellent communication skills and a team-player attitude Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation, network protocols, and application deployment processes Desirable Skills: Experience with AWS X-Ray, CloudWatch, Elastic Search for monitoring and analytics Knowledge of cloud-based security controls, governance, and compliance Solid understanding of modern DevOps processes and methodologies Note: State client experience is mandatory.
