This unique opportunity is ideal for professionals who began their careers as Java Developers and have transitioned into Quality Assurance, particularly in automation testing. You will be instrumental in bridging the gap between development and QA, bringing both coding expertise and a critical testing mindset. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Java-based frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit). Collaborate closely with developers to understand application architecture and business requirements. Participate in test planning, test case design, and bug tracking using tools like JIRA, Zephyr, or TestRail. Conduct API testing using Postman or REST Assured. Perform regression, integration, and performance testing on web-based and backend applications. Analyze test results, identify root causes of failures, and work with the dev team for quick resolution. Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests with tools like Jenkins, Git, Maven, or Gradle. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in Java development with at least 2+ years in automation testing. Hands-on experience with test automation tools: Selenium WebDriver, JUnit/TestNG, Cucumber. Proficiency with Git, build tools (Maven/Gradle), and continuous integration (Jenkins). Familiarity with BDD/TDD frameworks is a plus. Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Skills: Experience with cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure). Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter. ISTQB or similar certification is a plus.
