As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining cloud infrastructure, automating deployment processes, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our services. Key Responsibilities: Cloud Infrastructure: Support the development, deployment, and management of cloud infrastructure on AWS. Non-Cloud Infrastructure: Manage Edge (on-premises and portable) infrastructure. Automation: Automate deployment processes, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency. Container Management: Oversee Kubernetes containers and AWS cloud infrastructure. Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to integrate applications into the infrastructure. Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor production systems, troubleshoot, and resolve issues promptly. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous enhancement of processes, tools, and infrastructure. Technology Trends: Stay current with emerging technologies to drive innovation within our infrastructure. Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Security Clearance: Current Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance (U.S. ship required). Experience: Minimum of 9 years of experience in DevOps Engineering or Software Development (Java preferred), or 7 years of relevant experience with a masters degree in a related field, or High School Diploma with 13 years of relevant experience. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Linux, including system administration and troubleshooting. Proficiency in configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet. Experience with AWS services (EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda) and their application in infrastructure management. Expertise in application and OS deployment, scaling, and management. Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Python, Bash, or Go. Familiarity with Git and other development tools. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve complex issues. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Understanding of AGILE software development methodologies and associated development tool suites. Hybrid Work Environment: Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with 1-2 days per week required in Columbia, MD. Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes is essential. Travel: Willingness to travel up to 25% to customer sites in Hawaii (subject to change based on customer needs). Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, Presto, etc.). Experience with container technologies (e.g., EKS, Diode). Familiarity with CI/CD processes and terraform. On-call support experience (occasionally required).
