The ideal candidate will have a strong software development background, experience securing cloud applications, and a deep understanding of application security principles . This role involves working across backend, frontend, cloud security, CI/CD, and monitoring tools to build and secure scalable applications. Key Responsibilities Application & Security Development Design and develop secure Java, Spring Boot applications. Implement Information Security best practices across the SDLC. Secure APIs, Microservices, and cloud-native applications. Work with multiple programming languages, including Java, Python, or Node.js. Cloud & Security Engineering Secure and manage AWS services including WAF, ALB, CloudFront, CloudFormation, ECS, EC2, S3, SQS, RDS, SSL/ACP, CloudTrail, Kinesis, VPC. Utilize AWS SDK (Java, Boto3 Python, CLI) for automation and security monitoring. Implement Web Application Firewalls (AWS WAF) and cloud security controls. CI/CD & Version Control Implement security in CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab. Manage and secure version control using BitBucket and Git. Monitoring & Security Operations Use Splunk for security monitoring, create queries, dashboards, and lookup tables. Work with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) for collaboration and tracking. Utilize tools like Postman, Fiddler (or other HTTP proxy tools) for API testing and security validation. Required Qualifications Strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, and backend development. Good understanding of Information Security principles & Application Security fundamentals. Hands-on experience with AWS cloud security and infrastructure. Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab) and version control systems (Git, BitBucket). Knowledge of Splunk for security monitoring and analytics. Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) for Agile workflows. Experience with container security (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS). Knowledge of API security, authentication, and encryption.
