This consultant should have a minimum of five (5) years of medical coding and medical billing experience. Strong Coding, Facets and Managed Care experience, as well as possession of a current Certified Medical Coder Certification (CPC, RHIT or RHIA) are required. The Coding Analyst III develops, documents and maintains code level benefit definitions at the Enterprise level for a multi-state and multi-market organization. Certified Medical Coder Certification (CPC, RHIT or RHIA) is required Knowledge in CPT, HCPCS and ICD-CM Codes Claims related reference data, such as types of bill, revenue codes, places of service Upstream and downstream impacts of code level benefit details Medicare, Medicaid or Marketplace insurance benefits preferred Claims processing knowledge Regulatory requirements of Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS) and other payer requirements, preferred Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required Minimum of five (5) years of medical coding or medical billing experience required Managed Care experience is required, preferably associated with benefits coding, claims processing, and / or benefit configuration Strong Coding, and Facets system experience required Please have your candidates answer the following screening questions: How many years of direct medical coding and medical billing experience do you have Is it in a Managed Care environment Do you have a current certification - Certified Medical Coder (CPC, RHIT or RHIA) Describe your knowledge of CPT, HCPCS and ICD-CM Codes.
