Role :: SAP Vertex Consultant Location :: Hybrid Austin , TX Duration :: 12 Months We are seeking an experienced SAP Vertex Consultant to join our ERP team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and support of SAP and Vertex tax integration solutions, ensuring accurate and compliant indirect tax determination and reporting. This role requires in-depth knowledge of SAP SD/MM and Vertex O Series platforms, with strong hands-on experience in configuration and integration. Key Responsibilities: Lead the implementation and integration of Vertex O Series with SAP ECC/S4 HANA systems. Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical tax solutions using SAP and Vertex. Configure SAP modules (SD, MM, FI) to ensure proper tax determination via Vertex. Work closely with Tax, Finance, and IT teams to design and support tax calculation rules and mappings. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tax calculation, exemption handling, and reporting. Support end-to-end testing, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Stay updated with tax regulatory changes and ensure system compliance across jurisdictions. Provide documentation, training, and ongoing support to internal users and stakeholders. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field. 4+ years of experience with SAP (ECC or S/4HANA), focusing on SD, MM, or FI modules. 2+ years of hands-on experience with Vertex O Series, including setup and configuration. Experience with indirect tax compliance, such as sales and use tax. Strong understanding of integration tools (e.g., middleware, APIs, BAPIs). Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
