The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing our VMware environment to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability. You will work on projects related to virtualization, automation, and potentially cloud integration within our VMware ecosystem. **Responsibilities:** * Design, develop, and implement solutions leveraging VMware technologies such as vSphere, vSAN, NSX-T, and vRealize Suite. * Automate VMware infrastructure tasks using scripting languages (e.g., PowerCLI, Python) and automation platforms (e.g., vRealize Orchestrator/Automation). * Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions for VMware environments. * Integrate VMware with other infrastructure components and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). * Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues within the VMware environment. * Develop and maintain documentation for VMware infrastructure and automation scripts. * Collaborate with other IT teams, including system administrators, network engineers, and security teams. * Participate in the planning and execution of infrastructure upgrades and migrations. * Monitor the health and performance of the VMware environment and implement necessary optimizations. * Stay up-to-date with the latest VMware technologies and best practices. **Qualifications:** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. * [Number] years of professional experience working with VMware technologies. * Strong understanding of VMware vSphere architecture and components (ESXi, vCenter). * Experience with at least one scripting language (PowerCLI preferred, Python a plus) for VMware automation. * Understanding of networking concepts relevant to VMware (vSwitches, VLANs, NSX-T). * Experience with storage technologies (vSAN preferred). * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. * Good communication and teamwork skills. **Preferred Qualifications:** * VMware certifications (e.g., VCP-DCV, VCAP). * Experience with VMware vRealize Suite (vRO, vRA, vRNI, vRLI). * Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their integration with VMware. * Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation). * Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments. * Experience with monitoring and logging tools relevant to VMware.
