http://bit.ly/4ey8w48 https://jobs.nvoids.com/job_details.jsp?id=2334840&uid= From: Vishal, Pinnacle Consulting [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Hi, Position: Mainframe Storage Engineer Location: Woodlawn, MD or Durham, NC or Lakewood, CO (Day 1 onsite) Duration: Long Term (Need only local candidates) Job Description, Lead efforts in developing new strategies for operational efficiencies Work with applications teams and stakeholders as the platform technical lead Work with highly experienced and technical resources Assist technical leads in implementing systems and software updates Document processes, procedures and configurations Perform daily operations support functions, including problem isolation and resolution Provide status updates of task and project updates Provide system administration support Troubleshoot platform and application issues All other duties as assigned or directed Skills Requirements: Basic Skills: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field 7 years of experience or more as a Mainframe Storage Engineer. 7 years of experience with problem monitoring and engineering problem resolutions on virtual tape architectures. 5 years of experience with Dell/EMC, VSM, VLE and ZFS Virtual tape Libraries. 5 years of experience with IBM Job Control Language (JCL). 4 years of experience with CA-1 Tape Management System (TMS) and CA Vantage. 4 years of experience supporting Disaster Recovery planning, testing, monitoring and restoration for virtual tape storage systems 3 years of experience designing and building Storage Management System (SMS). 2 years of experience using Data Domain Management Center (DDMC) 2 years of experience using Time Sharing Option (TSO) on mainframe systems 2 years of experience with Interactive System Productivity Facility (ISPF). Expertise in the Linux command-line environment Required Skills: Knowledge of z/OS. Experience using Time Sharing Option (TSO). Experience with Data Domain. Experience with Dell EMC DLm8500 systems. Experience with ISPF. Experience with InsightIQ Ability to produce operational documentation using industry best practices in technical writing. Ability to gather process requirements to automate into Ansible playbooks Desired Skills: Demonstrated experience growing, maintaining, problem monitoring and engineer problem resolutions on virtual tape architectures. Experience with Cyber Recovery on virtual tape systems Demonstrated experience designing, installing, configuring, provisioning, and deploying storage hardware used in a multi-node storage architecture. Experience developing best practice project plans, engineering scripts, and documentation needed to migrate workloads to virtual tape. Prior Federal government experience Self-starter, highly motivated individual who adapts and isn't afraid to volunteer in a dynamic work environment Strong attention to detail with an ability to operate effectively across multiple priorities Education: Bachelors degree with 7+ years of experience Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
