The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Alation implementation in a SaaS model, and will play a key role in partnering with business users to drive adoption, define use cases, and optimize metadata curation strategies.Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage metadata curation and metadata management initiatives using the Alation Data Catalog. Develop and maintain data catalog structures, ensuring data assets are well-documented, discoverable, and aligned with governance standards. Build and enhance the Business Glossary in Alation, facilitating consistent data definitions across the organization. Partner with business stakeholders to identify and prioritize relevant use cases for Alation that support data discovery, governance, and analytics. Support the implementation, configuration, and customization of Alation in a SaaS environment. Leverage Alation Analytics to assess user adoption, data usage patterns, and catalog effectiveness. Contribute to the organizations Data Governance framework by aligning Alation capabilities with enterprise policies and standards. Provide guidance and training to data stewards, analysts, and business users to promote self-service and maximize Alation's value.Essential Skills: In-depth understanding of Metadata Curation and Metadata Management in Alation. Proven experience in Data Cataloging using Alation. Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Business Glossary development in Alation. Experience working with business teams to define and implement Alation use cases. Demonstrated ability to lead Alation implementation and configuration in a SaaS model. Proficiency with Alation Analytics and usage reporting.Desirable Skills: Experience integrating Alation with enterprise data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Oracle, etc.). Familiarity with data governance tools and frameworks such as Collibra, Informatica, or DataHub. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Knowledge of data lineage, data quality, and compliance principles.
