Role: : SRE Engineer Location: Alpharetta, GA Type: Long Term Contract Job Description Technical Skills: 14+ years overall experience with 4+ years in IaaS, PaaS and PeopleSoft on OCI 6+ years of experience in maintain and support OCI compute, network, storage, database troubleshooting for improving capacity, reliability, scalability, availability working as a site reliability engineer 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Kubernetes, and Scripting SRE Engineer with strong experience in monitoring, troubleshooting and support Support rapid development and engineering productivity via release engineering, CI/CD & IaC automation, and build tools. Perform health checks Apps/Infra to identify and proactively pre-empt issues from occurring (verification, alerts, etc). Experience with Python including Object Oriented programming Experience with building and supporting Desktop hardware Experience VDI and Remote Administration Services Experience with Security services and devices including: Firewalls, IDS/IDP, SIEM. Container administration and development utilizing Kubernetes, Docker, Mesos, or similar Infrastructure automation through Terraform, Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Packer or similar Experience with Cloud Orchestration frameworks, development and SRE support of these systems Experience with CI/CD pipelines including VCS (git, svn, etc), Gitlab Runners, Jenkins, Rundeck Oracle Database knowledge in ATP, ADW and programming in SQL, PL/SQL Cloud network experience Experience with Linux Experience working with fault tolerant, highly available, high throughput, distributed, scalable systems Integration with Code Deploy / GitHub Actions Experience in IaaS tools like CFT, Terraform Strong expertise in Cloud concepts like Infrastructure as Code, Cloud Computing, Cloud Networking, Cloud Storage & Backup, Containerization, AWS SSO, sFTP, and SRE Experience in understanding and implementing SecOps needs Experience in release, deployment of patches across the spectrum of scope Good understanding of Agile software development principles including using common tools such as JIRA System Administration including Linux and Windows internals, TCP/IP, DNS, Load balancing technologies OS image build for Linux, Windows and patch automation using Python, Power Process Skills: Having sound knowledge of ITIL practices like Change Management, Incident Management, Problem management, release management etc. Exceptional communication skills Self-starter, ambitious, willing to take on difficult problems Collaborative, team player attitude Practical exposure & knowledge in existing / emerging cloud Database technologies. Has worked in Metrix role with an ability to work independently with multiple managers with dotted line hierarchies. Keeping abreast of industry trends, technology innovation, and changing customer requirements to help with the continual service improvement process. Participate in on-call rotations and be responsible for infrastructure and platform level escalations. Work with the DevOps team on planning and implementation of infrastructure capacity planning, upgrades, and monitoring. Participate in Daily (Standup) Production Reviews Contribute to the design and improvement of deployment architecture of new and existing applications based on the principles of reliability, high availability, efficiency, and observability.
