Description: .NET web-based application (Administrative Review Application ARA), that was implemented in Minnesota a few years ago. This application is built on ASP.NET 4 WebForms using Visual Basic. The target framework is .NET framework 4.6.2. The Developer/Programmer should understand this legacy .NET infrastructure architecture in order to analyze and help resolve application issues that may arise and should have an excellent understanding of SQL Server 2016 stored procedures as the application uses stored procedures for most of its business logic. The resource will be expected to unit test all code changes they develop, engage in code reviews of their proposed code changes with a MNIT/MDE developer, and document all system changes for knowledge transfer purposes.In addition, the resource should be skilled as a Java developer who can assist with a related project that will eventually replace the .NET ARA system by developing the needed functionality in a Java-based system. This systems technology stack consists of the following:HTML, JavaScript, JSP, Spring MVC, Java 8, Hibernate, Oracle, Tomcat, Windows Tasks Support Administrative Review Application (ARA) by analyzing defects, determining solutions, and developing needed code Assist with design and development of a Java-based replacement Work remotely with the lead developers for work direction and oversight Work with the Agencys subject matter experts and system administrators to gain insight into defects and problems with the system that users are experiencing Remotely attend team meetings on at least a weekly basis Provide knowledge transfer Skills Required 7 years experience in ASP.NET Developer/Programmer role 5 years experience in Java Developer/Programmer role 5 years experience in SQL Server Stored Procedures Developer/Programmer role Skills Desired 5 years experience using Webforms in Developer/Programmer role 1 year of experience using Aspose library in .NET environment Experience developing or maintaining school nutrition-related web applications Experience using JavaScript in Developer/Programmer role Experience in Web Services Developer/Programmer role Experience using Ajax in Developer/Programmer role Excellent knowledge with relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies Detail-oriented and excellent concentration ability Experience writing technical documentation such as functional specifications An analytical mindset and critical thinking Demonstrable ability to discover and fix errors in code Strong communication skills Ability to work independently and in team settings.
