JOB INFORMATION Position Title: SDET (Embedded Applications/Firmware) Location: hybrid mostly remote, but candidates must be local to Broomfield or Denver, Colorado and able to come in as needed. Visa/Work Authorization: USC, Green Card Interview Process: quick phone and/or video screen with recruiter, then 1 phone interview with client, and 1-2 final video interview rounds (depends on manager availability). JOB SUMMARY We have partnered with a global leader in specialized home furnishing innovations seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Embedded Firmware, to help design, develop, maintain, and deploy the embedded test automation platform for the companys suite of motorized products and IoT accessories. Using best practices and patterns for Software Engineering, deliver the automation of firmware testing for effective continuous integration. Must have: the need for this SDET role requires more experience in testing the firmware side and not as much on the embedded Linux side. Will support unit testing and automated test fixtures. Automate firmware verification tests for code and libraries that run on embedded ARM SoC platforms. Support additional test automation needs within the department, e.g., BLE and REST interface testing. Define and execute verification and validation requirements and testing plans for firmware test automation platforms. Collaborate with DevOps to provide continuous integration of test automation platforms. KEY QUALIFICATIONS 3+ years' work experience in an area related to embedded firmware test automation is required. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics. Expert knowledge of embedded software test automation platforms, rigs, fixtures. Expert knowledge of C. Expert knowledge of ARM System-on-Chip SoC architectures such as Nordic nRF52 series. Solid knowledge of IoT interfaces such as: BLE, TCP/IP, various serial protocols etc. Solid knowledge of various scripting languages e.g., Python, Bash. Solid knowledge of continuous integration tools e.g., Jenkins, Gitlab CI, GitHub Actions. Solid Knowledge of Git version control.
