Job Description: Senior Project Manager, Marketing and Technology The objective This is a key project management role that will support complex, technical projects for two high performing teams within the organization. The Local Marketing team is focused on helping the branch network achieve its acquisition goals while delivering scalable customization. The Local Marketing content team builds content and communications to drive awareness of Schwabs capabilities within the branch network (external comms), as well as socializing Local Marketings programs and coaching narratives with the field (internal comms). The MarTech team serves as active and engaged partners collaborating across the marketing organization to enable growth through integrated planning and prioritization. The team helps optimize technology, processes, and resources in a way that furthers innovation, scale, and efficiencies. The Local Marketing and Marketing Technology teams are looking for a contractor to lead a collection of large initiatives that are integral to the success of its teams in 2023. These flagship projects are highly technical and cross-functional in nature and involve multiple internal and external agency partners, vendors, and internal business and technology partners. This role is responsible for seeing that each teams strategy is properly executed, ensuring work product is of high quality, that milestones and deadlines are met, all while maintaining frequent, clear communication with partners through regular touchpoints and check-ins. The projects in scope for this role are digital marketing tactics including emails, intranet web pages, signage, and presentations, as well as technology projects that require project management and program leadership, including content updates for intranet web pages, and consolidating data and financials for regular reporting. The ideal candidate is a seasoned project manager who understands business, technology, and marketing, and has experience navigating complex projects, working with creative or advertising agencies as well as technology and development partners. What youre good at: Leading meetings, managing status and timelines, coordinating deliverables, and creating presentations. Forging strong relationships by acting as a trusted partner who can both listen and problem-solve, helping the team to clarify conflicting inputs, make decisions, and overcome obstacles. Ensuring priority initiatives meet objectives and deadlines by helping team members and partners stay on track by adhering to agreed-upon strategy, scope, milestones, and process. Driving successful multi-channel marketing programs in a highly reciprocal environment that often relies on your ability to influence leaders and colleagues. Finding a way to balance seeing the big picture, while tightly managing details and deadlines. Ability to think like a Financial Consultant to ensure that content and storytelling is fresh and captivating and meets the needs of the branch network. Communicating and storytelling, able to simplify sophisticated information to build clear and compelling content - both with and without the support of a creative agency. Leading when you dont have all the answers by working closely with subject matter experts and partners to understand the objectives, collaborating to make the best decisions. Comments What you have: Experience and interests Superior project management skills, with a proven track record of success delivering a wide range of large- and medium-scale marketing and/or technology projects with tight deadlines and complex deliverables Experience with marketing technology projects, collaborating with developers and synthesizing complex information Experience managing internal and/or external advertising or creative agency relationship and/or projects Must be able to prioritize competing tasks and work well under pressure while remaining focused Precise, unwavering attention to detail and strong organizational and problem-solving skills Self-motivated with excellent judgment skills and ability to form a clear point of view Must have superior interpersonal as well as written and oral communication skills Interest in content strategy, creative strategy, digital or email marketing, or design Interest in technology, software development, or web development Software skills Must be comfortable learning new software, and be able to quickly pick up how to navigate new systems or SAAS Familiarity with email service providers is preferred (but not required), including vendors like Constant Contact or MailChimp Proficiency using cloud-based application software such as Adobe Acrobat, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. Familiarity with project management tools like Kanban Flow and JIRA Experience with Microsoft collaboration tools including SharePoint and Teams.
