The ODI Specialist will lead the ETL Assessment and Proof of Concept (PoC) phases focused on evaluating and migrating Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) ETL processes to Python-based ETL tools. This includes code analysis, strategy development, and stakeholder engagement. Duties: Review and analyze existing ETL code in ODI. Estimate effort, challenges, and risks for migration to Python-based ETL tools. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand current ETL processes. Develop a PoC to demonstrate functionalities on Databricks and/or Amazon Glue. Validate compatibility and performance of migrated ETL processes. Document assessment findings and PoC recommendations. Manage resources efficiently and meet project timelines. Provide resource recommendations for additional roles if needed. Mandatory Qualifications: 8+ years' experience with ODI and Python-based ETL tools. 5+ years of relevant ETL experience Bachelors degree in computer science or related field. 2+ years experience in a large healthcare system. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Strong knowledge of ETL best practices and methodologies. Desirable Qualifications: Proficiency in Python, Pandas, and Spark. Certifications and experience with process improvement techniques (such as Lean Six Sigma, Agile, PDCA cycles, and Kanban), Project Management, Business Analysis, or similar. Technical certifications and experience such as ITIL Service Management, Comp TIA certifications, Oracle, Microsoft. Cisco, AWS, certifications, or areas such as IT Governance, IT Auditing, IT Risk Management, etc. Excellent organizational and communication skills. A Master's degree. NOTE:- The project involves two primary phases aimed at supporting decisions for the future-state ETL processes and data platform: an ETL Assessment and a Proof of Concept (PoC). ETL Assessment: This phase focuses on a thorough review and analysis of the current state of ETL processes utilizing Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and Informatica. Activities include accessing and analyzing existing codebases, evaluating data flows and transformation logic, and assessing performance metrics. The assessment will identify key risks, challenges, and constraints associated with migrating to a Python-based ETL tool. Detailed effort estimations will be provided, and a high-level migration strategy will be developed. The results will be compiled into an Assessment Report, including recommended actions and strategies to ensure a smooth transition. Proof of Concept (PoC): Building on the assessment, the PoC phase will demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of migrating ETL processes to a Python-based tool, such as Databricks or Amazon Glue. This involves extracting sample data, replicating existing transformations using Python libraries, and developing ETL workflows in the selected tool. Performance comparisons with current processes will be conducted to validate improvements. Detailed documentation of findings, challenges, and lessons learned will be provided. The PoC Report will offer specific recommendations for full-scale migration, ensuring stakeholders have a well-defined roadmap for transitioning to optimized ETL processes and a robust data platform.
