Position Overview We are seeking an experienced SAP Functional FPSL Consultant to support the implementation of SAP Financial Products Subledger (FPSL) integrated with SAP S/4HANA. This role will serve as a key finance subject matter expert, working closely with business and finance teams to ensure that FPSL configurations align with both statutory accounting and management reporting requirements. Key Responsibilities Serve as the functional lead for SAP FPSL design, configuration, and integration within an S/4HANA landscape. Partner with finance stakeholders to gather and validate business requirements, ensuring compliance with accounting principles (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP). Support the design of end-to-end subledger processes, including posting logic, valuation, allocation, and reconciliation with the general ledger. Perform configuration of FPSL components, including source data mapping, ledger setup, account determination, and event-based processing. Collaborate with technical teams to define integration points between FPSL, S/4HANA Finance, and external systems. Support all phases of the implementation lifecycle including blueprinting, functional specifications, testing, user training, and cutover planning. Assist in the development and execution of test plans, validating results across multiple accounting views and dimensions. Ensure solution supports both regulatory reporting (e.g., balance sheet, P&L) and internal performance metrics. Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of SAP Finance experience as a Functional Consultant or Business Analyst. Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance (General Ledger, Asset Accounting, Controlling). Proven understanding of financial processes and reporting in regulated environments. Ability to translate finance and accounting requirements into functional system specifications. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in configuration and testing. Preferred Qualifications Hands-on experience with SAP FPSL (Financial Products Subledger) including configuration and implementation. Familiarity with multi-valuation ledger concepts, parallel accounting, and event-based postings. Exposure to financial services, insurance, or public sector accounting use cases involving FPSL. Working knowledge of SAP Activate or other implementation methodologies.
