Title: Database Engineer Location: IA Visa: Noh1b Candidates Local and Semi-local will be consideredfirst, Midwest, not coast seeking an experienced database engineer/administratorwho will be responsible for leading the efforts to ensure the performance,availability, and security of Oracle, MySQL and MS SQL databases This position will be the lead DBA for our agencyand lead all database upgrades and projects for Oracle and SQL. This position'sgoal is the deployment of sustainable and modern database technologies, on premand in cloud based. The candidate will have full control over the databasetechnologies used as well as creating a future roadmap for all databasetechnologies at the agency. This position will reside on the systemsengineering team with a dotted line to the application architect anddevelopment teams. Day-to-day 50% operations and 50% planning and designingfuture state. This role will also handle orchestrating upgrades, backups, andprovisioning of database instances. You will also work in tandem with the otherteams in the information technology division, preparing documentations andspecifications as needed.
