Project is already in progress. Key responsibilities: <Covered in required skills> Required Skills: (TOP SKILLS in BOLD) 8+ years of experience with SAS Enterprise BI Server administration. 8+ years of experience installing SAS BI server from scratch on a multitier platform. Design and configure SAS internal folder structures to facilitate user access and provisioning. 4+ years of experience in creating and running Linux scripts and jobs as necessary for Server provisioning and administration. 4+ years of experience - Perform Server patching and maintenance as necessary. Provide management reports from both the SAS server and the Linux OS upon request. Strong knowledge and practice implementing standard security policies and procedures for both SAS Server and SAS clients. Regularly provision access for SAS users and accessible resources (data sets and database connections) Good experience in working with Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc. Effective communication, presentation, & organizational skills. Familiar with Project Management methodologies. Ability to create and execute written project plans Ability to establish priorities & follow through on projects, paying close attention to detail with minimal supervision. Required Education: BS/BA degree (in computer science or related field) or combination of education & experience Knowledge on leveraging SAS/ACCESS Interface to ODBC, Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server data access engines. Strong UNIX skills to include SSH, SCP, SFTP and VI editor. UNIX and shell scripting experience required Good to have skills: Demonstrate effective leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills Required excellent written and oral communication skills with technical and business teams. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team Stay abreast of current technologies in area of IT assigned Establish facts and draw valid conclusions Recognize patterns and opportunities for improvement throughout the entire organization Ability to discern critical from minor problems and innovate new solutions Strong documentation skills in readable English Ability to create reports from both SAS Enterprise Server and Linux Operating system Strong familiarity with both Windows and Linux operating systems Familiarity with SQL programming in both Oracle, Snowflake, MS SQL and others Experience packaging, installing, and troubleshooting SAS 9.4 client applications on Windows OS. Strong experience troubleshooting both SAS Server and Client performance issues Strong knowledge of basic networking (firewalls, switches, routing, etc.) and diagnosing performance bottlenecks. Ability to recommend improvement changes in SAS Server, SAS client, and SAS user analytic procedures to benefit the entire organization Exceptional ability to work as part of a team and to interact with other teams both inside and outside of the organization. Experience setting up SAS AUTH provisioning for accessing external data and database systems. Experience in using Directory Services (LDAP, AD, other) groups for provisioning access in SAS. Strong ability to provide technical explanations to SAS Technical support teams, to facilitate troubleshooting issues for both SAS Server and SAS user issues. Strong understanding of data backup and recovery.
