Please find the below job role and let me know your interest on the same New Contract to Hire Opportunity Senior Data Scientist (Predictive Data Modeler) FULLY REMOTE (prefer Dallas area but are open to remote) Visa Status: USC,GC preferred, but open to any visa NOTE: The client would like to speak with a couple more Data Science candidates with advanced degrees (Masters or PhD degrees) before making a decision. The one candidate that has advanced to this point has a Masters degree, so they would like to be able to have a comparison. As a reminder, the key skills for this role are: Advanced educational degree (Masters or PhD level) strongly preferred Strong technical skills with Python (or R) and SQL are must-haves and cloud experience is a strong plus (AWS preferred, but he's open on the cloud experience); Must have experience building predictive data models and implementing them into a production environment; Will also have experience supporting and modifying the models as needed. Experience building machine learning algorithms is also preferred. Predictive data modeling experience is required; this is higher level experience than just setting up data environments and creating reports with Tableau or other data reporting tools. Client Job Description You will be responsible for analyzing large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns which you may need to build, manage, maintain, and deploy predictive models and/or machine-learning algorithms. To be eligible you must have the following: 3-5 years proven experience as a data scientist building predictive models and/or machine learning algorithms. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with people across businesses, locations and focus on execution. Strong SQL experience Experience with Python, R or similar Proven track record of designing, building, managing and deploying a variety of predictive data decisioning models and/or machine learning algorithms Proven ability to apply advanced analytical techniques and use scientific/quantitative approaches in model development Experience with statistical modeling techniques and best practices AWS or GCP certifications preferred Ability to understand data quickly, and interpret results for business partners Troubleshooting and analytical skills. General understanding of SaaS platforms and agile methodology as well as business processes. Excellent organization and communication skills with strong attention to detail. Key responsibilities: Ensure that all business partners have the right data, at the right time, to make well informed data driven decisions Working within the Data and Analytic team, you will be responsible for leading model development activities by following industry standards and best practices Work closely with the Risk Team to develop best-in-class risk models geared toward financial optimization, loss mitigation and operational efficiencies Advise and evaluate existing and new external data sources for use case effectiveness Work closely with the technology team to architect and develop scalable cloud-based analytic/model solutions Working closely with the PMO, you will provide stakeholder updates to the Executive Team and other Senior Management as required Familiarity with cloud-based model execution environments and following best practices/standards Ensuring efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security.
