Role: Node.JS / RESTful API Developer Hiring Type: Fulltime/Contract Location: Remote (San Jose) Job Description Node.JS (Express) /RESTful API Developer This project is a back end focused aiming to develop an application with a bunch of Restful APIs used to provide calculation and listing of potential business opportunities. Users can use those API endpoints to fetch and retrieve related data which is stored in remote database hosted in cloud for further use. Techniques involved in this project include Google Cloud Platform, Node.js, Express, Postgres Database, Jest & SuperTest. Wrote endpoints request queries using Postgres SQL. Develop Restful API endpoints based on the framework of Express through Node.js. Database is hosted in VM through Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Once Restful APIs are developed, they are uploaded and deployed on the cloud for testing and adjustment. Used Postgres to create sample database and related tables and import sample data on local machine for later testing. Wrote unit test cases using Jest and SuperTest against local database and local sample data to ensure the quality of code, make sure it is eligible to pass through the CI CD flow. Used Git for version control and cooperation. Used Webex and Outlook to participate in Agile Development Meetings such as daily standups, sprint plannings, sprint reviews, spring retrospectives. Used Jira for project tracking.
