This is a contract opportunity ideally suited for professionals with a solid track record in enterprise-grade backend systems and modern front-end technologies. Candidates with prior experience at General Motors (GM) and strong references will be prioritized. Automotive experience is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain robust, scalable backend services using Java (Spring Boot). Design and implement frontend components using React.js, Angular, or similar JavaScript frameworks. Write and maintain scripts and backend jobs in Python for data processing or automation tasks. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives. Work closely with cross-functional teams including DevOps, QA, and Product. Collaborate with architects to align on system design and technical standards. Troubleshoot and resolve performance, scalability, and integration issues. Ensure code quality through code reviews, unit testing, and best practices. Required Skills: 8+ years of Full-Stack Development experience in Java-based enterprise applications. Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development. Proficient in frontend technologies like React.js, Angular, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript. Solid working knowledge of Python scripting for automation or backend logic. Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.). Understanding of CI/CD tools and pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.). Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with General Motors (GM) or any other large automotive OEM. Familiarity with automotive or manufacturing industry systems and standards. Experience with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, or microservices architecture.
