The specialist is responsible for enrolling IV-E eligible children in Medicaid, maintaining accurate enrollment records, and ensuring children are assigned to the correct Medicaid category. This role involves working across multiple systems including IEDSS and MaGIK and collaborating with the Division of Family Resources (DFR).Key Responsibilities: Review Medicaid Enrollment Reports daily and verify Medicaid category accuracy for DCS wards in all 92 counties. Process and complete transmittal forms to enroll children in the correct Medicaid category. Perform Medicaid enrollment activities using IEDSS (DFR Case Management system) and MaGIK (DCS Child Welfare Case Management System). Notify DFR of placement changes and ensure timely updates to records. Request and track Medicaid cards for eligible wards. Confirm that each child is: Properly coded as a DCS ward. Listed with MEU (Medicaid Enrollment Unit) as the Authorized Representative. Placed in the correct Medicaid category. Covered for the appropriate timeframe.Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED (required). Prior experience working with Medicaid systems or processes (required). Ability to adapt to frequent policy or procedural changes.Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with Federal IV-E Foster Care, Adoption, and Medicaid programs. Experience working with child welfare systems or state Medicaid programs. Knowledge of or experience with the following systems/tools: MaGIK KidTraks IEDSS Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in all aspects of the work.Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail. Excellent communication and coordination skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Quick learner with the ability to follow complex processes and adapt as needed.Additional Information: Work location is onsite in Indiana.
