The selected candidate will provide technical and operational leadership, while also contributing directly to development tasks related to consumable data sets (CDS) using Azure Databricks and Power BI cloud reporting. This is a hands-on technical lead role with a strong focus on cloud data engineering, team collaboration, and user acceptance testing. Required Qualifications: Experience working with big data in a cloud environment, particularly Azure and Databricks. Hands-on expertise with Power BI (Power BI Pro preferred) and Cognos. Proficient in writing advanced SQL for data analysis and reporting. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. Bachelors degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience. Technical Leadership Provide day-to-day technical and operational support for the Agile Development Team. Assist with development issues and support resolution of blockers during daily stand-ups. Optimize code performance using Spark SQL and Databricks in a cloud (Azure) environment. Review BI products and validate data against requirements. Ensure team follows Agile task management processes (status updates, descriptions, time tracking). Promote team autonomy by encouraging collaborative problem-solving. Business Collaboration & UAT Participate in refinement sessions and help gather and clarify requirements from business stakeholders. Support Product Managers, Scrum Leaders, and Architects with requirement documentation. Set up and document meetings for UAT and product handoffs. Follow up with stakeholders to confirm UAT completion and feedback. Coaching & Best Practices Identify and help resolve Agile anti-patterns with Scrum leadership. Oversee data engineering and BI deployment pipelines, version control, and documentation (e.g., GitHub). Conduct peer reviews for testing and validation processes. Development Support Actively contribute to development of CDS and Power BI reports. Monitor intraday reports and resolve post-launch issues. Conduct quarterly usage audits, identifying low-use reports and offering optimization recommendations.
