The Database Administrators role will be responsible for the maintenance, monitoring and performance of critical database systems, to ensure high availability and consistent performance of our Telematics applications. As a Database Administrator you will be part of a team of specialists in the DBA area. This includes Daily operation, tuning, capacity planning and consolidation. You will be involved in discussion with the different projects regarding their needs and guide them to a suitable solution. You will be working together with the Architects to create new solutions and secure our deliveries. They will be working with the Architects and development team to review table designs, SQL statement, load tests and performance improvements. Qualifications The position will require good communication skills and time management. 5+ Years of Relational Database Management in Oracle and 2+ Years in PostgreSQL. 3+ years of systems/software analysis and design experience. 3+ years SQL programming experience. Ability to work in a team environment, manage multiple clients, and provide consultative skills throughout the process. Experience working in a highly matrixed organization. AWS experience a plus. Agile team experience a plus. Responsibilities Maintain the stability, scalability, security, integrity, and performance Oracle and Postgres databases in RDS environment. Work with development team on best practices, optimal SQL, and table design Proficient with writing and tuning complex SQL queries Ability and willingness to provide day-to-day and after hours support rotation Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills Must be able to prioritize requests and multi-task Strong customer service, communication, and task management skills Required Competencies: Experience in handling relational database (RDS Oracle and RDS Postgres preferred) Knowledge of ITIL Incident Management Change Management Problem Management Experience of handling on-duty (On-call) Experience in AWS is a plus Good written and oral communication skills. Good interpersonal skills. Keen attention to detail.
