I am writing to inquire if you have anyone in mind for a new hybrid SDET role with Kroger, located in Cincinnati (Blue Ash), requiring 3-4 days a week on-site. The market rate for this position is comparable to $60/hour on C2C, which is what we currently have someone billing for a similar role there. This exciting opportunity is with Kroger's new Digital Customer team, located in their Digital Customer Innovation Center. This team focuses on Mobile, eCommerce, and customer-facing site solutions to enhance the digital shopping experience for Kroger customers. It's a new and innovative environment with a "start-up" culture, offering a significant impact on the future of digital shopping at Kroger. We are seeking an individual passionate about Agile development, who will contribute to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, aiming for increased team efficiency and productivity through quality software best practices. As an SDET, the individual will develop software, design, build, and maintain test automation, directly impacting the quality of the Kroger Digital platform. Key Responsibilities include: * Owning and leading test strategy, planning, and execution for assigned product areas within an Agile scrum team. * Designing and implementing test automation frameworks for large datasets using SQL, Python, and Informatica MDM. * Establishing testing strategies for back-end development teams with a focus on retail POS and sales data domains. * Participating in product design reviews to assess functional requirements, testability, and effort estimates. * Analyzing and decomposing complex software systems; collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve architecture and testability. * Translating user stories and requirements into comprehensive test cases and automation scripts. * Debugging applications using logs, stack traces, and test results; continuously monitoring systems under test. * Partnering with development teams on root cause analysis and implementing preventative automation solutions. * Driving adoption of best practices in code health, maintainability, and testing. * Staying current with emerging testing tools, trends, and methodologies, integrating them into the QA process. * Promoting a shift-left approach to quality, advocating for early and continuous testing. Required Qualifications: * Proven experience as a Senior SDET or Senior QA Engineer in Agile development environments. * Expertise in test automation for large datasets using SQL, Python, and Informatica MDM. * Experience with Databricks for data processing and analysis. * Expertise in Data testing using cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP). * Background in retail systems, specifically POS and sales data. * 6+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and software testing environment. * 5+ years of experience developing and executing automated test scripts. * 5+ years of experience working with automated test frameworks and test runners. * Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with a root cause analysis mindset. * Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps testing practices. * Familiarity with microservices and API testing. * Experience with performance and load testing tools like NeoLoad, Jmeter.
