Solid knowledge of Terraform Enterprise module and Sentinel Policy development. Strong understanding of current programming languages and technologies to solve business needs. Proficient in HashiCorp Configuration Language (HCL) Familiar with GitLab CICD pipeline and Python programing is preferred Education and Work Experience: Professional certification(s) in AWS and Terraform is desired. 5-10 years of software development experience across the appropriate platform. ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Contract Resource for Terraform Modules: The team is looking for a contract resource to develop Terraform modules and Sentinel policies for their enterprise, to be consumed by the parking team. They need someone with deep understanding of Terraform Enterprise, not just the community version. Interview Process: The interview process will involve an on-site interview, as the team has seen success with this approach. They prefer a one-shot interview lasting 45 minutes to an hour, with multiple team members involved. Terraform, Sentinel, and HashiCorp: inquired about the importance of Terraform, Sentinel, and HashiCorp for the project. The team explained that these are critical as they are all part of the same ecosystem, and the code must be developed within this space to be released as a product. AWS Expertise: asked about the level of AWS expertise required. The team prefers candidates with AWS experience over Azure, as they use around 80 AWS services. They are looking for expertise in developing modules for these services. Certifications: asked about the preference for HashiCorp or Terraform certifications. The team mentioned that certifications are highly desirable but not mandatory, as they are primarily looking for experience. Developer Role in DevOps Space: asked if the role is more of a developer or DevOps role. The team clarified that it is a developer role within the DevOps space, focusing on creating services using Terraform. Description: Job Description: The Application Developer is responsible for performing high complexity analysis, design, development, and unit testing of software applications from user requirements and design documents. The candidate will also resolve defects encountered during various testing cycles. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain terraform modules in Terraform Enterprise Private Module Registry (PMR) to automate infrastructure provisioning and management. Create and enforce Sentinel policies to ensure compliance and governance in infrastructure deployments. Perform system-level application analysis, design, development, and unit testing.
