Please do not submit any marketing or fake LinkedIn profiles. We are currently seeking a Solution Architect for a contract-to-hire opportunity with one of our financial services clients. This individual will be tasked with representing the Enterprise Architecture team for the Commercial Banking sector as a hands-on practitioner. This individual will be delivering standards, patterns, and designs to our clients technology organization, as well as diligent engagement with the teams of developers implementing them. This candidates scope of influence will include (but is not limited to) resiliency, observability, portability, SDLC management, producing technical requirements and solution designs that align to business requirements. You will join the frontline in ensuring we can meet the banks business needs while producing a modern, digital stack. Duties and Responsibilities : Manages solution design from conception, through ARB, to delivery Primarily responsible for producing architecture documentation for commercial banking applications and other projects and programs of work as assigned Maintains First Horizons Solution and Systems Design Inventory as a member of the Core Enterprise Architecture Team Partners with line of business stakeholders, delivery teams, and SMEs to produce and refine product requirements Designs both the components and interactions of solution architectures that will deliver intended business outcomes Collaborates with architects in other domains (Data, Security, Infra, Cloud, DevOps) to produce consensus and governance Leads solution design workshops and emerging technology POC workshops Validates 3rd Party/Vendor Solutions Aligns Information Technology strategy and planning with the companys business goals and objectives Promotes the use of a shared infrastructure and application roadmap to reduce costs and improve how information flows Builds and maintain technical trusted advisor relationships with influential technical decision makers across the bank Works with developers to ensure that technical solutions as delivered align with Enterprise Architecture Standards & Patterns Works with Portfolio technology leaders to include technical debt initiatives to portfolio roadmap Provides consultation on complex projects May lead the work of others and contribute feature work and pull request/code reviews as needed Required Skills : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field 4+ years of solutions architecture experience 7+ years of full-stack mobile and web application development Experience with n-tier web application architecture, native-cloud, hybrid-cloud, and native-mobile solution architecture Experience with technical documentation like sequence diagrams, process diagrams, network topologies and other architectural content Experience with Agile/SAFe methodologies Additional Skills : Experience with architecting commercial banking solutions (treasury management, payment systems) Familiarity with industry standards common to commercial banking (NACHA, ISO 20022, GLBA, etc.) Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly Awareness and ability to use design patterns to steer business requirements into enterprise-wide technical strategies Awareness and ability to document designs using internal and external notational standards (Business Process Model and Notation {BPMN}, Unified Modeling Language {UML}) Knowledge of application security design principles and techniques Understanding of enterprise middleware application languages and frameworks (e.g. C#, Java, Node.js, Apigee, IBM DataPower, Kafka etc.) Heitmeyer Consulting is an equal opportunity employer and we encourage all qualified candidates to apply.
