The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Core Java, Apache Kafka, and React, and can collaborate across backend, frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver secure, resilient, and maintainable solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain Java (11/17+) microservices using Spring Boot and RESTful APIs. Build and optimize Kafka producers/consumers, streaming pipelines, and schemas (Avro/Protobuf), ensuring reliability, observability, and exactly-once/at-least-once semantics where appropriate. Develop responsive, accessible UI features using React (TypeScript preferred), integrating with backend APIs. Ensure code quality through unit/integration testing (JUnit, Mockito), code reviews, and automated CI/CD. Diagnose and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability issues across the stack. Partner with Product, QA, SRE, and Security on delivery, release readiness, and production support. Document designs, APIs, and runbooks; champion engineering best practices. Availability for occasional weekend activities (e.g., releases or production validations) as needed. Required Qualifications (Must-Have) Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservice architectures. Solid understanding of data modeling and RDBMS (e.g., Postgres/Oracle/MySQL); familiarity with NoSQL is a plus. Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, build tools (Maven/Gradle), and containerization fundamentals. Experience with testing (unit/integration), logging/metrics/tracing, and secure coding practices. Excellent communication, problem solving, and collaborative skills; proven ability to lead by influence and mentor others. Nice to Have Experience with Kafka Streams / ksqlDB, Schema Registry, Avro/Protobuf evolution. Cloud exposure (AWS/Azure/P), infrastructure-as-code, and Docker/Kubernetes. Frontend ecosystem depth: TypeScript, testing (Jest/RTL), state management (Redux/Zustand). Performance profiling (YourKit/JFR), caching, and API gateway patterns. Exposure to GraphQL, feature flags, and observability stacks (Prometheus/Grafana/OpenTelemetry). Education Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
