Title: QA Tester Location: PREFER a local candidate who can be on site in either Pittsburg PA or Whippany NJ 2-3 days per week , But will consider 100% remote for the right candidate. Duration: 6 months, could extend longer Visa: NO H1B must haves are expert sql and strong python. This is our data tester position where the sql is self explanatory but the python is necessary because our existing test automaton for validation is written in python. 70% automation, 30% manual All types of testing: front, middle, backend UI, database : testing ins and outs of web portals, data that come from databases, etc. 2 years of python knowledge : must be "working" knowledge not just book : ok if it's not recent but they WILL be teched out on it in interview Test case writing / all basic QA functions expected Preferable to Jira This position will require interaction with other members of the quality team as well as developers, project managers, customer support staff and working directly with the customer to ensure that requirements are being adequately tested. What you will do: Manual testing a cloud-based application written in Microsoft .NET Framework running within Chrome or Edge. Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables. Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan. Work with developers to improve overall software quality including adherence to coding standards, unit testing standards, and related development practices Execute and evaluate test cases and report test results. Hold and facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members. Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management. Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements. Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes.
