TheSenior Engineer is a highly technical position responsible for the analysis,implementation, administration, security, maintenance and support of thecompany's Windows and Linux Servers. In this role, the engineer will beexpected to patch and configure systems and employ security countermeasures toreduce server attack surfaces. They will improve adherence to security andregulatory compliance frameworks such as CIS, NIST, SOX and PCI. This personwill work in a hands-on capacity as well as with their peers and our managedservice providers in the course of their duties. RequiredCertifications MCSA, RHCE preferred. CISSP a plus. RequiredYears and Area of Professional Experience 10 years hands on experience withWindows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Has extensive familiarity withpatching and remediating vulnerabilities on either platform. CriticalProfessional Related Technical/Computer Skills Windows Server, Red HatEnterprise Linux, Patching and deep understanding of vulnerability reports.Deep understanding of system services and daemons and able to correlate tooperational ports. OtherRequirements Experienceworking in a large company with multiple sites some in a disconnectedenvironment. Ability to respond timely to email requests. Knowledge,Skills & Abilities Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Ansible and/orSCCM a plus. Power, Unix scripting. VMWare, Dell server hardware.
