Job Description The SAP MDM (Master Data Management) Architect is a hands-on technical expert responsible for developing and maintaining the overall SAP MDM architecture, defining frameworks, models, and policies for master data. Architect will work directly with stakeholders to gather requirements, build and configure solutions, test integrations, and drive successful go-lives across multiple sites Deep understanding of SAP Master Data Management solutions, particularly SAP MDG, and experience with data migration to S/4HANA. While this role may include mentoring junior consultants and collaborating with leadership, the primary focus is architecture, configuration, and deployment. Major Responsibilities Establish and enforce data management/governance policies to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance across the enterprise. Responsible for designing and implementing the overall MDM architecture and interfaces, including critical data integration, data modeling, and data migration for both customer data and enterprise data. Architect and facilitate the integration of master data with various SAP modules and other systems to create a single source of truth. Work with both business and IT teams to understand their needs, align MDM strategies with business objectives, and support data-driven decision-making. Troubleshoot data-related issues and provide solutions to improve data quality and resolve inconsistencies. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS Education Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience. Work Experience At least 15 years total SAP systems experience At least 2 or 3 implementations on SAP S4 system managing SAP MDM solutions Excellent experience in managing Material Master Strong functional and business knowledge in different SAP modules Global or multi-site rollout experience strongly preferred. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on direct solution delivery. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to business stakeholders and leadership. Proven ability to translate between business requirements and technical solutions, bridging executives, business teams, and IT. Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project methodologies. Experience with cloud-based SAP deployments. Skilled at influencing, guiding and facilitating stakeholders and peers with decision making. SAP certification preferred Strong communication skills - both written and verbal Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and collaboration tools such as MS Teams. Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Ability to organize & balance multiple projects/priorities. Must be self-motivated with capability to work independently. Ability to estimate the financial impact of technology alternatives Trusted and respected as a thought leader who can influence and persuade business and IT leaders and IT development teams Availability for 10-15% overnight domestic travel.
