Having knowledge on the IP, UDP and TCP configuration parameters / AUTOLOG interactions / Route definitions / Interface configuration. Deep understanding on how IP routing works, both static and dynamic / Subnetting / Layer 2, Layer 3 and Layer 4 understanding. Experienced in supporting FTP, SMTP, SSH, TELNET, TSO. Experienced in implementing and supporting TLS. Other protocols are a plus, but TLS is a must-have. Implementation of SNA over IP Networks. Having worked with Connect Direct, XCOM, Netview FTP, CFT File Transfer Manager, etc. Deep understanding on how SNA and IP networks work, how they interact with each other, and how to troubleshoot them. Experienced in working with TPX, Supersession, or any other session manager.
