Responsibilities: Understand and influence the adoption of evolving Microservices on our global commerce platform. Evaluate and select cloud platform technologies, managed services, and open-source components to enable platform build-out and solve engineering problems. Manage and support platform cloud components in addition to AWS infrastructure. Work in an agile environment and participate in conceptualizing and implementing platform features. Provide support to other cloud engineers on how to construct and integrate their services to meet functional requirements. Required Skills: 10 +years or more of total experience. Direct Experience with AWS lambda, Kubernetes, Docker, Networking Protocols. Advanced knowledge of cloud-native design, architecture, and technologies. Advanced understanding of application security standards and best practices. Advanced knowledge of container operationalization, performance tuning, and modularization. Excellent communication and critical thinking skills. Ability to organize unstructured information and attention to detail. Preferred Skills: General knowledge and experience of why we develop Microservices Direct Experience with automation technologies such as Jenkins, Terraform, etc. Experience in building and organizing cloud platforms leveraging the leading managed services and open-source frameworks.
