Title: Enterprise Job Scheduling Architect Location: Des Moines, Iowa (Must currently be in Iowa) Hybrid Duration: 12+ Months Job Description: Position Overview Senior enterprise job scheduling architect to be responsible for the design, implementation and support of enterprise job scheduling systems on-premise and in a cloud environment. This position is highly technical in nature, requires excellent technical skills in a variety of competencies, and the ability to learn and adopt new technologies. The Senior enterprise job scheduling architect will work with a team responsible for supporting our enterprise job scheduling infrastructure 24x7. What the Role Involves (Responsibilities) Create and maintain all enterprise job scheduling required for development, testing and production usage. Participate in Disaster Recovery Drills as well as prepare/update necessary documentation. Perform capacity planning required to create and maintain the enterprise job scheduling. Implement security for all the enterprise job schedules. Support development team to recommend changes for performance improvement as per requirement. Provide advanced troubleshooting to end user issues/concerns; Level 3 technical support: After hours and weekend support required for on-call rotation Perform Tuning and Optimization; troubleshoots and resolves schedule integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log shipping issues, connectivity issues, security issues, index management and statistics. All aimed at ideal business support while limiting support incidents and outages. Configure, manage and perform backups, restores, schedule recovery, export/data pump commands, High Availability, Encryption, and custom module integration. Perform and/or coordinate installations, upgrades, and patches to job scheduling products and tools. Help maintain and run custom jobs, for daily, monthly and quarterly tasks. Creation, design, POC of consolidated and optimized job scheduling footprint to ensure license and costing optimization to meet SLA needs. Participate in job scheduling workstreams and leads technical projects Meets with application partners to understand priorities and ensure goals for application team and job scheduling team are being met; research information on problems/questions posed by application systems. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 8+ years experience in systems configuration (Linux, AIX, Solaris OS, Azure, Appliances) to adhere to best practices for TWS job scheduling platforms Strong proficiency and experience in TWS performance analysis, tuning and issue resolution, as well as maintenance automation tools or scripts Strong knowledge of data modeling and data relationship analysis for the large scale of business applications Experience in writing scripts or use leading tools to monitor TWS job scheduling software Experience with designing optimized data models for use with ETL tasks and Custom Applications. Experience with Security Hardening, Audit and Compliance with relation to SOX, PII, GLP, GMP, GXP regulations.
