This role requires deep expertise in real-time data processing, event-driven architecture, and integration across modern cloud and data platforms. Key Responsibilities: Architect and implement enterprise-grade Kafka solutions using Confluent Platform/Confluent Cloud. Design and manage Kafka clusters, brokers, topics, and partitions for performance, scalability, and reliability. Lead migration from legacy messaging systems (e.g., IBM MQ, TIBCO) to Kafka. Develop and optimize Kafka Streams, ksqlDB, Kafka Connect, and Flink-based pipelines. Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and security (RBAC, ACLs) for Kafka infrastructure. Collaborate with data engineering, DevOps, and application teams for enterprise-wide Kafka integration. Implement monitoring and observability using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Confluent Control Center. Required Skills & Experience: 10+ years of hands-on experience in Kafka architecture and implementation. Expertise in Apache Kafka, Confluent Platform, Confluent Cloud, Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, ksqlDB, Zookeeper, and KRaft. Strong experience with application integration architecture and Salesforce Community Cloud. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, P, or Azure, and CI/CD pipelines. Strong understanding of data integration tools (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Hadoop). Scripting knowledge: or Python. Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform. Domain experience in financial services or credit unions preferred. Soft Skills: Strong leadership and architectural vision. Excellent communication and collaboration across teams. Ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions. High sense of ownership and accountability for enterprise-wide architecture.
